Right from a young age, Ken was intrigued by technology. He used to tinker with tech stuff and with curious eyes wanted to know more about it. He was quite a tech enthusiast and loved to take apart stereos, televisions, and more gadgets. He used to try to understand how they worked and try to fix them. As he got older, he transformed his skills and became an engineer. Eventually, Ken’s vision expanded and he started focusing on the big picture instead of looking at a single problem or issue. This led to architecting large enterprise solutions for companies. This gave him the ultimate satisfaction of knowing his work helped him create an impact and make it a reality.

 

Ken’s experience includes working on vertical solutions for Legal, Government, Consumer Package Goods, Pharmaceuticals/Life Sciences and Insurance and Non-Profit organizations. His recent work includes mobile application platform development, responsive website architectures and design including content management solutions, and social media strategies and measurement tools.

Ken reminisces on one cool story and a project creating an excellent impetus. He said, “We are working with a life sciences firm developing some therapies for rare diseases. One was for a neurological ailment that makes it difficult for a full range of motion in older patients. We created an immersive VR experience of swimming laps in a pool and saw amazing results as the patients gained a full range of motion. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the impact of something we designed and built affect a single patient. That smile after they finished “swimming” was amazing.

 

Unlocking the Power of Meditation

 

Working in the tech industry as a CEO is a highly technical and demanding position. Sometimes, it can take a toll on a person’s health and affect their overall well-being. Hence, Ken believes that meditating 2x a day helps him stay grounded and ensures his work-life is maintained.

 

Spearheading as a CEO is tough and requires a lot of patience and focus. And, mediation is key in solving such problems and maintains overall holistic professional and personal well-being. Ken carries a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders. He has to take care of his clients and staff ensuring his team is always meeting/exceeding expectations and fostering a comprehensive culture. Additionally, he spends 20 minutes on Peloton every morning and visits his Doctor every six months. Other than that, he has cheat days for his sugar cravings.

As a leader, one has to be ready to face challenges at all times. And, Ken is one such leader leading by example and fiercely fighting challenges with his grit and perseverance. He is an action-taker and a go-getter with a courageous mindset. If one tells him something can’t be done, he will take that as a challenge. The Key is to be Patient and Stay Persistent

 

Ken is not only an impeccable leader but also a phenomenal family man. He plays each of his roles with integrity and accepts adverse situations with open arms. After becoming a father, Ken had to stay home for a month to help his wife recover from a difficult birth. However, at that time, he was being considered for a new position at a competitor firm. Considering the given situation at hand, Ken had to turn the offer down and put his family first and he did it without a second thought. On the contrary, he received a greater position with his current company after he returned and everything turned around to work well. Through thick and thin, Ken stood with his family and was brave enough to let go of a new position. The moral of the story and lesson learnt here is to remain patient and good things will come around.

Ken is fond of the values of creativity, and innovation, and has a passion for learning from the people he interacts with. He is a team player, who treats team members with the utmost respect and he is open to sharing, learning, and mentoring his team and vice-versa. Ken’s source of inspiration is quite unusual but strangely influential. He believes Time has been a major influence in his life. The significance of time can not be neglected in every situation and it teaches the greatest lessons of life. He fondly expresses, “I vary from being nostalgic over technology (from early computers (punch cards, mainframes etc) through the futuristic metaverse, TIME is the variable that produces the most change.”

For Ken, success means that he along with his team have a healthy backlog of business and a roster of top clients they can reference. As a successful executive, he likes to think that he has achieved much throughout his career, and he looks back to say he has earnestly built a solid foundation of business expertise and experience. Additionally, success at home means having a partner he can share everything with and enjoy all that life offers.

As a long-time private pilot, Ken has trained in situational awareness scenarios for flying safely. He likes to approach work the same way, multitasking is fine, but always knows where the nearest airport is. Ken asserts, “Be in charge of your flight controls and your ability to communicate.” This will ensure one is headed in the right direction and is going to achieve the desired results.

Recently, Ken and his team did an Artificial Intelligence Assessment for a life sciences client. He learned quickly that this particular client was chasing the idea of AI rather than the practical application of it for their business. When Ken was younger, he would have only tried to meet the client’s demand without questioning the motive. However, with his decades of extensive experience and leadership acumen, he has learned that the follow-up question “And what will that do for you?” is just as critical to ask. Asking this will help to be on the same page with the client and deliver the client’s requirements with precision.
